Comme dans les autres demeures ducales, les architectes privilégient les toits à forte pente et multiplient les ornements tels que les gâbles et les pinacles dans le style gothique flamboyant.
The triangular Château of Poitiers was rebuilt and restored under Jean of Berry at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. Like at the other ducal residences, the architects have preferred roofs with a steep incline and have created multiple ornaments such as gables and pinnacles in the flamboyant gothic style.
