With a gesture of the hand, David points to an infernal landscape : in the middle of the burning rocks, a river carries the souls of the dead. In Psalm 30, the king gives thanks to the Lord “You brought my soul up from the grave ; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.” (verse 3).
