Dans une église, au pied d’un autel, David rend grâce à Dieu : « Heureux ton élu, ton familier, il habite ta demeure » (verset 5). Des sculptures décorent le chœur et on aperçoit une tribune d’orgue au-dessus de la porte. L’agencement de l’édifice peut faire penser à une Sainte-Chapelle, telle celle que Jean de Berry fonde à Bourges. Ces fondations étaient réservées aux descendants de Louis IX et destinées à abriter des reliques de la Passion.
In a church, in front of an altar, David gives thanks to the Lord : “Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts” (verse 5). Sculptures decorate the choir and we notice an organ loft above the door. The layout of the building could suggest a Sainte-Chapelle, like the one founded by Jean of Berry in Bourges. These foundations were reserved for the descendants of Louis IX and intended to contain relics from the Passion.
