Le Petit office du mercredi est consacré à tous les saints que l’on voit réunis au paradis en adoration autour de la Vierge et du Christ-Roi bénissant. Le premier cercle des élus accueille anges et prophètes menés par saint Jean Baptiste. Parmi les élus du second cercle, on distingue à leur costume un ecclésiastique, un franciscain, un chartreux. Les anges qui peuplent les initiales lèvent les yeux et semblent participer à la scène principale.
The little Wednesday Office is devoted to all the saints, which we see gathered in Paradise, in adoration around the Virgin and Christ the King blessing. The first circle of elect greet angels and prophets led by John the Baptist. Among the elect of the second circle, we can identify a priest, a Franciscan, and a Carthusian monk. The angels that populate the initials raise their eyes and seem to be participating in the main scene.
