Debout, de part et d’autre du reliquaire, Abraham donne la dîme au prêtre Melchisédech qui lui a offert du pain et du vin après la bataille de Kedorlaomer et tient ici un ostensoir. Abraham et Melchisédech figurent les pouvoirs temporel et spirituel, et ils préfigurent l’Eucharistie.

Standing on either side of the reliquary, Abraham pays the tithe to the priest Melchizedek who had given him bread and wine after the battle of Chedorlaomer and here holds a monstrance. Abraham and Melchizedek represent temporal and spiritual powers and prefigure the Eucharist.
