Les deux rangées de stalles sont inspirées d’un panneau représentant la Chute des anges rebelles peint vers 1340 dans l’entourage du peintre Simone Martini qui travaille en Avignon. Ce tableau est aujourd’hui conservé au musée du Louvre.
The author of the Book of Revelation mentions twenty-four Elders wearing white and crowned with gold on either side of the divine throne. The two rows of stalls are inspired by a panel showing the Fall of the Rebel Angels painted around 1340 in the circle of Simone Martini who worked in Avignon. That painting is now in the Louvre Museum.
